Artists We Love: Crista Leonard

We first caught wind of the incredible talent of photographer Crista Leonard over at the Brixton boys' website. Brixton had featured some of Crista's photographs that we really liked so we decided to hit her up and see if she would send us over some of others. She did and here they are.. along with a little insight into the artist's life. So Crista, where is home?

Home is nowhere right at this moment! I´m traveling around the US, but I´ll be back in EU next week and then I´m looking for a new place to live in Barcelona, where I've been based on and off for the last 7 yearsI

Favorite subject to shoot?

I like to shoot people surrounded by nature, often mountains or forests (often both!). I come from the mountains so I feel in my element shooting peaks and hills. But I like the grit of the city too.

Moment you realized photography was worth investing a whole lot of time and money into?

Hah! Good question. Well actually I made that decision right from the beginning. Once I had decided I wanted to be a photographer, I enrolled in a visual communications masters and threw myself into it. We´ll see what happens but in the meantime I´m loving it!

One thing never to travel without?

Well my camera of course and music.

Spontaneity, life, music, air, relationships, fun, curiosity
