Maternity Made Modern

Courtney Klein founded Storq due to what she saw as an absence in maternity-wear: cool, comfortable clothes, that would appeal to a woman even if she wasn’t pregnant. The company started off small… with a capsule collection meant to take you through trimesters 1-3. Now, they over bundles to take you through 1-4. The first three growing that tiny baby, and the 4th nursing it post-labor. Two unique bundles exist.. one for outside the house, and one for lounging inside.

In the mommy game since 2013, Storq is focused on the right things. In their clothing and fit, it’s all about comfort and style. But also commendably important is how they make their clothes. They manufacture in the U.S., Peru and China, only leveraging factories with a focus on, “..worker safety, fair wages and a commitment to environmental impact.”

If that weren’t enough to get on board with this innovative maternity brand, Storq also acknowledges that the reality is you’re buying these maternity clothes for a short period of time. These aren’t wardrobe staples to wear forever. Due to this, they have partnered with Homeless Prenatal Program to donate your used maternity clothes to a good cause. When you give back your wearables, Storq sends you a $25 gift card for your next Storq purchase.

Pregnancy Style Innovated

Our favorites from Stork are all easy to wear, stylish and – according to the company – promised to be comfortable too. We love the Pencil Skirt.. a black body con fit skirt that hits just below the knee, for a modern look. It pulls on, made with 92% modal and 8% spandex.

The Button-Up Shirt is an always-on classic. Made of a Modal/Poly mix, the shirt is silky and not stiff. It has a loose, relaxed fit, and is machine washable. Pair it with skinny jeans or loose black pants.. layer on the jewelry and you’re ready for work.. or a night out.

The Storq Slip Dress is all kinds of amazing. It has a loose, drapey fit, thin spaghetti straps and you can wear it one of two ways: in one way, you get a v-neck up front. Reverse it, and you can have a straight neck up front, and the v-neck in the back. It’s also available sized XS through 3X.

The Rib Henley meanwhile will be your new favorite jeans & a tee tee. It has a slim fit and is made of soft, ultra-stretch rib jersey. The folks at Storq actually say you can wear it from month 1 all the way to month 9, and even after your pregnancy.

Finally, the Tank Dress, is made of ultra-stretchy ribbed jersey with a bodycon fit to let you show off that pregnancy. It hits mid-calf, and has side-slits so walking is easy and not inhibited.

No matter what you choose from Storq, you really cannot go wrong. Each piece is more covetable than the next, and with a moral high ground governing the production and positioning of the brand, this is a company we are happy to get behind.
